Let’s talk LEGO!

For as long as I can remember, LEGOs have been for children, right? NOT ANYMORE! The LEGO Group has done something incredible—they’ve pivoted to market toward adults, and female adults nonetheless.

LEGO now offers a variety of new products targeted toward adults. These sets let you tap into the kid inside you, bring back that nostalgia, and stimulate your brain. PLUS, you get that sense of accomplishment when you’re done. The LEGO Botanical Collection? Hands down, my favorite. If you have not checked it out, you must.

Botanical Collection

A few months ago (for Valentine’s Day), LEGO transformed one of their London stores into a florist shop pop-up. My favorite part? They had LEGO employees build the bouquets for this pop-up as a part of a team-building activity. Honestly, brilliant! These LEGO flowers add that beautiful color to your home but last a lifetime.

Although the Botanical Collection is my favorite, it’s not the only adult-focused product line LEGO has released in recent years. These tend to be a bit more involved than the classic LEGO sets. You can build LEGO’s version of prestigious paintings like the Mona Lisa, global landmarks like the Eiffel Tower; in fact, you can even build a retro radio that includes a slot that holds your phone to allow you to play music!

LEGO’s successful rebranding to include adults is an iconic move. They’ve recognized that the joy of building isn’t just for kids. Adults everywhere can reconnect with their inner child while enjoying the mental and emotional benefits of this beloved pastime.

Congrats LEGO! You really DID that!
